The clear and present danger of Tares amongst the Sons of God.

What is Christianity?

What are Christians?

How should the sons of God regard them?

Warning: This may be horrific to some.

Mat 13:23  But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.  So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?  He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?  But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

(Mat 13:36)  Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Wow! Not a bedtime story. Not nice. Serious stuff.

To be taken in conjunction with;

Mat 7:15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

So, there are the son’s of God, the sons of the kingdom, and other normal folks. And Tares.

The other normal folks are those do not yet know Jesus to be the Christ of God. As it says in Acts, ‘of the rest, none dared join them’ (the disciples of Jesus.) The Tares are a separate category. They look a lot like the sons of the kingdom. They prophesy in the name of Jesus. They cast out demons in Jesus name. They do many wonderful works in Jesus name. An enemy has done this. It’s his strategy to swamp, handicap, divert and weaken the sons of God. Satan’s weapons are lies, deceit, counterfeit and illusion. Tares are his weapon against the Sons of the kingdom. They may not overtly oppose the children of the kingdom, but they tempt them to be involved with them.

We know now that we are the sons of God. (Those of us who are the sons of God.)

We know it because we are led by the Spirit of God, whom He gives to those who obey Him.

If we are not led by the Spirit of God, then we are not the sons of God.

But that would not stop folks acting as if they were. Especially if they had been subject to an environment in which they were encouraged to believe they were, were told that they were.

The enemy sowed the seeds of this counterfeit variety of facsimile sons of God very early on. While men slept. In the second generation of saints there would have been a proportion of look-alikes. They knew all the right things to ‘believe’. The right things to do, to ‘act’ like the true sons of God. I don’t think they were necessarily devious. In succeeding generations they would have multiplied ‘after their own kind’. More than others they would want to shape the future of this religion, which was a vital part of their lives. Human beings forming a human religion about Jesus.

This is Christianity, a world religion. These are ‘Christians’, adherents of a world religion.

The sons of the kingdom are not better than the sons of the enemy. Just of different seed. Producing different fruit. The fruit of the Spirit.

When the sons of God get tangled up with the sons of the enemy, they get bogged down, diverted, worn out.

But knowledge is power. If we know, see, what is truly going on when we are being tempted to be involved with Christians, then we can avoid this debilitating entanglement. That’s why Jesus wanted His disciples to be aware of this coming strategy of Satan.

Note that it is perfectly okay to love Christians, to help and encourage them to go on to know Jesus, really. But not to join them in their religion or to give them the impression that they are also children of God.

In the same way Paul would first preach the good news of the kingdom at the local synagogues, but end up getting thrown out (at best) by those rejecting the message.

The Holy Spirit will guide us in all truth and will keep us right in regard to dealings with all men.

I am writing this with a sense that now our Father is setting many of His sons free of Christianity and Churchianity, Satan will ensure that they will be accompanied by some of his sons also. In the setting of brothers and sisters listening to Father and loving those they are with, it will be crucial to be aware of this device of Satan.

Not paranoid, but aware.

Whom the Son sets free, is free indeed.
